Talloween

One of the greatest traditions of FSU has been the infamous "Talloween"- a celebration that has so much partying, people come from all over the country to visit and attend the houseparties and club experiences. I had a few friends over last year for it, and this year was no different, with my buddies Sebi and Jaime stopping by Tallahassee for a weekend together. However, with Halloween falling in the middle of the week this year, the party organizers decided we would have two Talloweekends, meaning double the parties, double the costumes, and double the fun.

Unfortunately, most of my friends couldn't make it to the first Talloweekend. However, this didn't dampen my spirits, because Wade and I had a funny idea for a duo costume, and we went to a party with our Tally friend group. During the first month of the semester, Wade and I had bought matching Frog and Toad shirts (Frog and Toad being from a popular children's book) and therefore we were inspired to dress like those two characters for Halloween. As goofy as the costumes were, plenty of partygoers actually recognized who we were supposed to be, so I didn't go out with ridiculous pants for nothing!

However, I talked about that night and its escapades already in another blog post. The next weekend, Sebi and Jaime drove up to Tallahassee to join us for some partying! However, in an effort to not repeat costumes too much, I went on a quick Halloween shopping trip with another friend, which is where I picked up a lab coat for a pretty cheap mad scientist costume. I already had these big goofy goggles from when I went to St. Augustine, so it worked out just fine. Though there were some unfortunate mishaps (like a rotten banana appearing in my brand new pants), the rest of the night was really fun, albeit costly since the houseparties had bumped up their entry fee.

The last night we went out, we had gone to a frat party with some of our Tally friends, which was a fun experience, since I had always wondered how my new friends would mix with my friends from home. It was a fun but short-lived night, as I got a little sick towards the end of the night and took an Uber home with Wade. Regardless, it was a good time, and it was a blast spending time with my friends for a couple days, since I don't see them too much nowadays. I look forward to next year eagerly!
